Biopsies

A. Fine Niddle aspiration (FNA) removes some fluid or cells from a breast lesion with a fine niddle similar to the one used for blood tests. The sample is examined by a specialized doctor – a Cytologist. It can assist the doctor to determine the nature of a lesion and make plan treatments.

B. Core biopsies (FNB)- Breast biopsy that removes cells or tissue from a breast lesion so that it can be examined by a histopathologist. It can make lesion diagnosis and help in treatment planning.
